This view shows some of the buildings located in Section 8, on the left behind the omnibus and children is lot 4, the building on the Rd verge is lot 5, the brick and paling fence is lot 6 on which sits the stone building seen set back from the Rd in the image which was also the school teachers residence from 1878, and on the corner is lot 7. On the extreme right centre of image is the entry into Albert St, behind this can be seen the site of the first Hargraves Hotel complex located in Section 9, it included the bark blacksmith shop which can be seen on the corner with the buggy in front, to its right is the general store occupied at some time by the Hodge family, the Hotel itself is out of the picture.
