Chinese Pig Oven

Washing Gully

Comment: View looking north east. The upper rock walls have collapsed falling inside and outside the main structure, remnants of the internal mud lining can still be seen, the outer lining has deteriorated to the extent that it now forms a mound around the base of the circular wall, which is not clearly seen in this image. There is evidence of alluvial mining activity including what appears to be remains of a stone structure nearby. It is known that the Chinese did occupy this area. Found by Mr. Robert Hall of Hill End in 2018. (653)
