Grave of James Patterson HUNTER
(885)
died 30 Oct 1935, buried 31 Oct 1935, aged 38 yrs
a Miner found dead, accidently killed by a fall of earth in Washing Gully (885)
James Hunter's grave is where Leslie Norman Judges grave cover is, Leslie should be next to his sisters Lillian Irene Warry's [nee Judge] grave, grave number 109, two graves south.
A burial list and plan created circa 1975 shows Leslie Norman Judge is interred in grave number 155 next to Lillian Warry's grave on the north side as per the same burial list and plan, EXCEPT his grave is now identified as being two graves north, This is where James Hunter's grave is.
The burial list notes that Leslie's grave was an "unmarked mound", the change of location could only have taken place when a permanent grave cover was laid, and the exact location was not identified.
This error has resulted in Leslie's grave cover being placed over James Hunters grave, number 154 which was also identified as being an "unmarked mound".
Leslie Judges grave is in the vacant plot between Lillian's grave and where the grave cover has been placed for Leslie.
The order of interment for three graves in that row running north to south is Elliot J. - 15 Aug 1937, Hunter J. 30 Oct 1935, Judge L. 9 Nov 1937. (934)
